Just bought the app! The link above at “See here how to use an iPhone 11 or later” is broken. Maybe it's worth including in the main text, as the iPhone 11 is getting pretty old!
Thanks for your support and information. I use the camera on an iPhone 15 Pro and usually I get an optimal reading but lately at around 37 ses to completion the colour goes orange- without me seemingly moving my finger- Sometimes it will go back to green before the end, but not always. Consequently I are not sure if my measurements are accurate- The message at the end says measure again. I can do this 4-5 times and still not get an optimal result. Any advice? What has changed that I can’t get an optimal result?
Wondering if anyone is having difficulty getting a usable signal with the iPhone 16e. My SE was fine but this new phone has resulted in unusable readings, so I’ve gone back to entering my oura data manually.
I would love to see an answer to this. I also struggle getting a good reading. A bit frustrated tbh. Should be easy right? I spend 10 plus minutes trying before taking info from Coros
Thank you, I will give it a try. Have you heard of device issues like I am talking about or is it my fault. I think it is strange that a HRM would throw up weird numbers, Even the H10 is not 100%. I thought maybe it is me or my physiology.
I have a iPhone 12 and for the past year I have never had an issue getting a good reading, only very occasionally having to repeat. For the last 3 days it has been impossible, either not optimal or stopping half way through saying camera not covered? This morning I spent 15 minutes before giving up. Has there been an update that is possibly affecting ability to get an optimal reading?
hi Sean, no change in the app (no updates released either). Please reach us via email so that we can keep better track and help you out, thank you. In the meantime, you could also try to go to menu - settings - sync with Pro to make sure the account is correctly logged in, which might help. Thanks!
I had the SE for years and it was a perfect camera/flash design for a reading. The 16e has a huge gap between the camera and the flash and it has been unusable. Sadly my SE battery was terrible so it needed replacing and they didn’t have SE models in stock anymore. May just get a polar strap.

thanks Brian! and sorry about that. You can find a more recent validation here: https://marcoaltini.substack.com/p/extended-support-for-iphones-16-in - I'll update the text above, thank you for reporting.

Thanks - I do have a strap - but it’s a Morpheus - and I don’t think that is compatible- I will try the kyto
thank you Brian, nothing has changed but there can always be reasons, some physiological (e.g. lower perfusion on some days, maybe just colder hands). In case of issues pairing a Bluetooth strap (Polar H10) or Kyto ear or finger sensor (https://kytofitness.com/products/bluetooth-mobile-heart-rate-monitor-with-ear-clip-kyto2935?srsltid=AfmBOooDKyLA9qzmVo_EIUV4vMffi9G12mbG1yd-T6izbJCWUNXi7lNT) could be a solution.

hi both, in case of issues with the camera, I'd recommend using a Polar strap. An alternative sensor if you prefer not to use a strap, could be the Kyto finger or earclip, discussed here: https://marcoaltini.substack.com/p/kyto-2935-a-decent-cheap-sensor-for
Does the kyto use Bluetooth and connect in the app like a HRM would?
Yes!

thank you Sean, we are following up via email.
Would oura’s “moment” feature be suitable? It needs 3 minutes to get hrv but perhaps worth a try since I already have oura?
In theory yes! In practice, I’ve found the feature not to return any HRV on most occasions, but if works well for you, it’s a viable option
Sadly that has also been my experience! I don’t know why they can’t improve this feature. It makes me question the overnight data too.
