thank you Luca. It depends, if you get Laps in Strava, then it's all good, normally sports watches have an automatic lap function (every km or mile or depending on a workout configuration you might be doing, that's the information that can make the estimate work better in Pro), maybe check if the apple watch also records the laps in the same way.
Prior to using HRV4Training, I've always gone by the lactate threshold in Garmin Connect. I recently got HRV4T, and despite syncing my Strava, I haven't been able to do many hard workouts since then.
At the moment, my Garmin is reporting that my LT is almost a minute under the HRV4T result. Is this due to the lack of workouts, or has Garmin been wildly overestimating my abilities?
Hi Bill! Lack of hard workouts can definitely have an impact on the estimate, the system can only learn from the data available. If you do short intervals and track them in Strava, Pro will be able to pick them up and adjust the estimate on the website, while the app will rely only on averages (in this case it’s better to split your sessions between warmup, actual workouts and cool down). You can try Pro here: hrv4training.web.app - wishing you happy holidays
Do you know how far back it would track the estimate? If I connected Strava a few weeks ago, will it then go back several months/years to pull the data? Or does it only do it for recent weeks/since I got HRV4T?
I used my Pro trial too early, when I first signed up, and since HRV4T hadn't yet collected much data, I wasn't able to use it to it's full potential, unfortunately! I had hoped it would pull historical data from Strava to populate.
I have a quick question regarding the Strava integration mentioned in HRV4Training Pro. Does this integration require a paid subscription to Strava or can it be used with a free Strava account? Also, will a free Strava account be sufficient to access all the data analysis features within HRV4Training Pro?
hey Luca, for most insights a free account should work too, probably just the laps won't be available in that case (impacting intervals analysis and cardiac decoupling).
bonjour Marco, j'en déduit que le seuil ventilatoire 2 correspond au seuil lactique 100% de LT, est-ce que le seuil ventilatoire 1 peut être considéré autour de 115 % de LT ?
I think you could try to see it that way, even though we need to remember that these percentages might be different for different people, so there is probably some variability and error in there
Hi Marco,
I use an apple watch to track my trainings.
Both the apple watch and apple health are connected to Strava.
Is this enough to get the best out of the training data? Or is better to start the training session via Strava directly?

Wow, that was quick! Thank you.

only the last few weeks indeed, to provide a current estimate. Please email us and we can provide another free trial, no worries at all
