Are there any requirements to the duration or distance of the workouts (Running/Cycling), in order to calculate my VO2max in the app? Or can I do even brief workouts and still get my VO2max est?
hello Ald, in principle I would think it is possible as a similar principle can be exploited, but I have not collected data with rowers so far, hence this is not part of what we can offer or build right now.

hello Kim, normally we use workouts longer than 5 kilometers (3 miles)
Hi Marco,
reference [9] seems to be missing – I'd love to follow-up on pace to heart rate ratio!
Cheers,
Michael
thanks Michael! added it now, you can find the paper here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/312121559_Relation_Between_Estimated_Cardiorespiratory_Fitness_and_Running_Performance_in_Free-Living_an_Analysis_of_HRV4Training_Data
As for rowing? Is it possible to estimate vo2max from strava/training peaks workouts?
