Hi Marco,

Thanks again for the interesting article!

I have a sorta related question I hope you can help me with: what would be an alternative to morning measurement when I cannot get these morning measurements reliably and consistently?

I ask because I have been using morning measurement with your app successfully for several years while I was training quite heavily. Now I am a farther of two and training is a less important part of life, but there much more 'life stress', bad sleep etc. I would still love to use your app for morning measurements, but most mornings involve a sudden wake up with one of the kids crying, and a measurement is not really possible as I have to get into action ;)

I intend to get a better grip on 'life stress' so if you have any ideas on this I am all ears. I think the alternative to morning measurement would be night measurement - which seems feasible for my situation. if I recall correctly from previous blog this would mean measuring through the whole night, not just spot checks. This unfortunately seems much less 'lean' and requires new equipment, and I think this is not possible with Hrv4training?

Thanks in advance for your time, much appreciated!

Thanks a lot Tim. Understandable :) and you are correct, the nigh average is needed, which requires a wearable sensor. An option could be a Coros watch, which at least doesn’t come with a subscription, and can be integrated with our app, so that you can still get the same analysis/interpretation. All the best!

Thanks for the quick response Marco! That is helpful. I also read your blog post on night measurement (again ;) ) and on using the coros for measurement. Not sure what I will do yet but thanks for the help!
