[Podcast] Periodized Nutrition, the N=1 Experiment with Marco Altini
With Scott Tindal on the Fuelin podcast
Thank you Scott for another great chat about experimentation, individual limiters, periodized nutrition and endurance performance (based on what I had covered in detail here).
In this latest episode of Fuelin Sessions, Scott Tindal is joined by Marco Altini to talk about his experience with nutrition periodization after losing 11kg in 7 weeks through caloric deficit and macronutrient adjustments. They cover the need for protein, balanced diet and also specific diets and how they could affect your own biometrics, such as HRV. Marco is a runner, scientist and developer mainly working at the intersection between health, technology and performance.
He has a PhD in Data Science and a MSc in Computer Science Engineering as well as another MSc in Human Movement Sciences. In 2012, he started HRV4Training to help many athletes monitor their biometrics.
Thank you for listening!
